NEW FRUIT FRIDAY!
all summer we will be cruising the local farmers markets() and having a new fruit friday tasting session. Now some of these fruits won't be necessarily new but to 4 picky eaters it may be new as in "I like this now!" new. The rules are simple: you must participate in the choosing of the fruit. you must help peel the fruit, if necessary. you must try it. you must say what you think.

a nice sticky messy activity to do when you are really supposed to be cleaning and doing laundry.

Every day my son comes home from school and asks me if i started my blog yet... i say "no, i didn't have time today..." last night, after my usual retort, he commented..."you've gone 41 years without blogging... don't you think it's time you started?" okay okay... i should have started it around the holidays when i was bursting with fun and festive ideas... or maybe after we got caught on the interstate in a blizzard and had to stay at a red cross shelter overnight with 1100 other people just before on the night before new years eve...
today i took my 4 year old to an art class downtown at the art underground
where the wonderful and creative nicole led the class in tile painting, jewelry making, watercoloring, treasure box making, and much more, then led the class in song with her gorgeous voice! what a fun morning!! walking out with all our made goodies, wally asked "can we go thriftstoring?"
so off we go... will report on any fantastic finds later!
